Schools that enroll high numbers of disadvantaged students tend to face challenges when it comes to statistical measures of academic performance. But that’s not always the case, as demonstrated by the success of these America’s Best High Schools honorees.

I really don't understand why you would comment on an "Asian invasion" and "illegal Hispanic population" until you are aware of the school's socioeconomic demographics. At the school where I teach, the API scores of our Asian population continue to rise along with the scores of the Latino population, while the scores of white students stay pretty level. I can say that socioeconomic status, not ethnicity, is the biggest predictor of success or failure in terms of the research I have seen on the API scores at my school. Ethnicity doesn't have as much to do with it and your comment smacks of racism. This article was meant to acknowledge schools that deal well with a socioeconomic disadvantage. Comments about an "Asian invasion" and illegal immigrants have no place here.
