Individualizing resumes is essential, giving the company a call will help more than you know. Find out who will be receiving the resumes. Even ask the person on the phone what the person receiving the resumes is like, and what they believe that person wants to see on a resume. The insight of the receptionist can often help you build a winning resume. Ask if the job position is currently still available. Many online jobs are advertised continually, but are only hired for when "real" vacancies occur. This can cut down on a lot of frustration.
