4 More Ways to Cut College Costs

Kids need to learn how to improvise better. I had no car (rode a bike or the bus), no phone (really - and I survived), used school clinic/health plan, worked in the cafeteria to get my room & board on campus, got a grant to cover much of my tuition, and shared my apartment to split costs.

I missed nothing, have a Masters and am a CPA. I have travelled the world and have always been able to work. School was a blast, so no privation there. I finished with a small loan I paid off three years after graduation.

People should be flexible. At school age you have enough energy to do anything, so enjoy!
