I wish my parents read this before they forced me to attend a service academy at 17. I "celebrated" my 18th birthday there. After six months of child abuse at the hands of those bullies and cowards, I left with a $1700 debt to the government for all of the uniforms and supplies.

I think you have made some great suggestions for students to ask themselves before they make their final college decision. If more students would do a little self-reflection at this point in the college admissions process, they would choose schools for the right reasons and have a better chance for a successful and enjoyable college experience.
