I have tried reading a couple different articles about this, as well as the link to the bill itself. For current/previous borrowers, would federal student loans for graduate/professional programs also count toward this forgiveness program?

Money is never free and you have to pay the price. When will people learn and not get in over their heads. I co-signed my daughters school loan and then I lost my good paying job because of contract fails and the company is no more. My daughter is married and her husband is paying back his loans which amount to over $500 a month and hers is $300. She can not work because her daughter has special needs. Well I am paying that loan and that is the way it is. We make our own beds. End of story!!!

I wanna know about education loan in the time period of jan-feb 2010. At that time, one rule came which says that in that time period all of the students who had taken education loan, those had'nt been require to pay their loan interest of their respective loan fee. Does that rule getting changed now???? Those students have to pay their interest upto present time???? Or those students have to pay interest only from this current installment fee????

What about Parent Loans. They lost our paperwork for our dghtrs semester and we were forced to take a PLUS parent loan even though niether of us were working at the time or she could not go back to school that semester. they then got us to defer the loans years at a time, being sold off periodically. the loan has gone from $2400.00 to about 14,000.00 now. my husband has retired 3 yrs ago the loan was defaulted as it had no more deferrments left, which we did not know what that ment, and it was garnished out of his social security check and what little we get back at tax time. we are left with $750.00 amonth for his social security ck and that is because there is a cap that they have to leave you $750.00 a mth. Is there any help wth the new laws for us?

I have been trying to pay for my student loan for more than twenty years. Where can I get help with this burden?

Support our future educated generation not the underground drug runners who don't pay taxes and over abuse our police and fire. Our future educated generation will be the ones to help this country succeed as future business workers and owners. They should have student loan payments reasonably set as the 10/10 does and allow them to have money to invest in our society whether it be in housing market, consumer goods or business investments. Someone tell me why all the money and support is going to the uneducated, underground economy. They will not be providing funds for future programs because they pay no tax on their income and they use it to purchase more illegial drugs.

I am a parent that co-signed for a daughter through Chase student loans in March 2008 and just found out that $10,000 was sent directly to my daughter and not to the financial institution.

I would never sign my name to an loan that would put that much money in anyones hands. This is fraud to give a person money and call it a student loan just because they say on an application that they are enrolled in school. I went to school late in life, I have my share of student loans with Sallie Mae and I make my payments monthly and I value my credit. There is NOTHING about this money that makes it a student loan.
