I just paid $24,31 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic GF 1 Camera that we got for $34,26 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. You are absolutely right that getting rid of subsidized Stafford loans will lead to more debt for students upon graduation and it is competitive to obtain scholarships. Unfortunately, there are no easy answers right now.

This is a good article but this makes it more difficult for those of us already in college. Grants help but obtaining a scholarship is easier said than done. Some schools offer scholarships but often limit applicants to those attending for the first time or they have to be within a certain age group. Also, there are school based scholarships that aren't known nor advertised by the school to students -- you will either have to find out about from instructors or from doing online searches. Scholarships sites assist with this dilemma but winning isn't any easier especially with the increased competition as well as requirements that not all can meet. Loans do help but once the subsidy gets done away with, students will be in more debt upon graduation -- especially with tuition hikexs.
