This is a great article with very useful information! Regardless of which college you choose to attend, you will definitely need money to pay for it. This is a great time of year to begin searching for scholarships for the upcoming school year. Scholarships are a great source of money to pay for college, but most people don’t have the time or energy to look for them. And even if they do, there is so much information out there that it can be totally overwhelming! I spent my son's entire senior year searching for scholarships, and yes, it paid off! As a result of all my hard work and the experience I gained, I founded Scholar Dollars. We provide personalized scholarship searches for students and focus on locating more obscure and local scholarships that are harder to find, which means that our clients have a better chance of winning! You can find more information at www(dot)Scholar-Dollars(dot)com. Of course, the ultimate result and money won depends on the student’s motivation, determination, and commitment, but the money is there if you are willing to work for it!

CRO is useful to alot of people, but if you haven't checked out CollegiateZone.net, I encourage you to give it a try. There is so much info, for any person applying for college. It not only has college searches by size, location, major, etc. but it also has a utility for HS counselors to check on students work, send them email/ text messages, as well as a bi-weekly live chat to answer any questions students might have. There is also practice tests for the student to take and review, along with a financial aid/ scholarship search tool. The best part is it has an auto-fill toolbar, that when installed, registered users can apply for colleges and scholarships with just a simple click! (Once, the user has put in their personal info into our college prep form on their profile). We have over 7000 schools in our database which is updated every 6 weeks, unlike most college search sites. You can see a quick video on our Facebook page as well as our website!

College Results Online (CRO) is extremely valuable.. I use it as a refining tool when synthesizing data for clients -- and I refer back to CRO once the list is in its final iteration. NCES has College Navigator and the College Board has a comparison tool as well. While both are rich in data, CRO offers a product that combines the best of each -- and then some.

As a college consultant, I think you have offered some excellent suggestions for students to consider. If each college applicant thought seriously about this advice, they would have a much better chance of finding schools with the right fit.
