Great things for students to think about - especially #4 since most young people these days are used to being "entertained". It's very important to connect with your professors, too. I, also, wonder about #9. My first son knew exactly what he wanted to do and will graduate next year without once changing his major. My other son still isn't 100% sure, but recently read the book Making College Count which helped him look forward to graduating and finding a job. What employers recruit at his school? What would he do in that field? How can he distinguish himself at college so that he stands out amoung his peers? As a college parent, I think it's important for my son to think ahead about those things so he'll graduate in four years (hopefully)with a great job he'll love. He's fired up now and has already implemented many of the suggestions. I'll have to send him here to your blog, too! I'm all about college success for my boys!!
