While it is wonderful for any head of state to recommend community college and citizens educating themselves, if an intelligible individual is not given a few options for how the investment of money and time play out, it is pointless and just political blabber.

For instance, 2004 when President Bush was debating John Kerry and bragging about homewonership is up to record highs...he failed to mention that while it is, in and of itself a worthy economic indicator, Americans were owning homes because lenders forgot to underwrite properties and were essentially handing out loans to anyone who could fog a mirror.

Instead, he could have said, "Be careful, owning homes is great but do not get in over your heads people. The end game is you want to grow your income and be self sustaining five or ten years out, which is why you are buying the homes now".

End game. President Obama has to specifically say, "Study XYZ and then try to get into a field such as XYZ because the US wants to dominate specific market places and keep jobs here for our citizens".

Just telling someone to educate is like telling someone they should exercise. They usually do not unless you spell out of them or incentive them as to why.
