Here's a rundown of the biggest stories in collegeland on Thursday:

- By way of Huffington Post, we can read all about a beer pong tournament where the winner takes home $25,000. The Associated Press reports that a pair of Californians took home the big prize on Tuesday in Atlantic City. Why hasn't this become a Division I-sanctioned sport (for 21-year-olds and up, of course) yet?

- The New York Times reports that college enrollment grew in 2008. Minority high school graduates gave the numbers the big boost. Check out the full report from the Pew Research Center.

- University of Utah is the newest member of the Pac-10 Conference, ESPN.com reports. The Utes join the University of Colorado as an incoming school in the nation's top West Coast sports conference.

- Colorado State University unveiled a new student-aid plan despite budgetary problems, the Chronicle of Higher Education reports. The goal is to make tuition cheaper for in-state students.
