Here's a rundown of the biggest stories in collegeland on Tuesday:

- Props go out to anyone who knew that any Canadian college even had a football team, but more to the point, the University of Waterloo canceled the 2010 football season because of a steroids scandal, the Associated Press reports.

- Big 12 enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief after the University of Texas decided that it will stay in the conference instead of joining the Pac-10, ESPN.com reports.

- More employers are requiring some college education, the New York Times reports.
