Here's a rundown of the biggest stories in collegeland on Friday:

- The conference shifting continues in college athletics. Boise State University has left the Western Athletic Conference and joined the Mountain West Conference, ESPN.com reports. Everyone's waiting for the next domino to fall, and a lot of eyes are on the University of Texas.

- The University of Florida did something that seems rare in this sour economy: the school gave its faculty wide-ranging raises. The raises will be 4 percent pay increases based on merit, the Chronicle of Higher Education reports.

- Here's another item about the University of Florida: The Gainesville school is the greenest in America, the Independent Alligator reports. The school has the most certifications by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

- Can't believe we missed this one on Wednesday: UCLA had its "Undie Run" despite the school's discouragement, the Daily Bruin reports.
