To the woman who wrote the letter above: My thoughts and prayers are with you, your son and family. I'm 43 and I developed my spinal cord injury when I was 26. Mine just happened. I've been in a wheel chair, but learned to walk again with a walker on wheels. I learned to use my arms and hands again. They don't work nearly as well as "the average" person's, but what the hey! I can speak (as much and clearly as anyone else.) I don't have the best memory in the world-for health reasons, but life goes on. Make sure it does!!!!!!!!!!!!We are living in a time of great medical advancement!! I wouldn't be here if weren't. I wish the best.

We need the test to happen as soon as possible for spinal cord.
My son was left a Quad C5-6 in June 2006 after a van accident.
He is wanting to have stem cell done as soon as possible.He has
two set twins that are young. Twin boy 5 years old and twin girls 7 years old and they ask him everyday daddy when are you
going to get out of that wheelchair? He has talk to all of them
and showed them web site where young man had stem cell same level and up walking.My son will be 40 years old July 4,2010.
He wants to have stem cell so badly that he would go over seas.
But, my daughter and I would rather it take place here in United
States..
I hope stem cell test are started sooner than six months.Not just for my son but for anyone that wants to have it done.They
feel like what do the have to loose.When my exhusband and I die
our son will be a burien on our daughter.
We all want him to have stem cell as soon as possible.As well as alot of other people it could help.My son talks about killing himself if he doesn't have the stem cell done soon.
He afraid we will die and will leave no one to work pay take
care of him.Then he will go to a state home away from his kids.
Stem cell will help alot of people why wait.
