Mr, Davidson,

Could you please explain to me how someone "provokes" rape? Dancing and flirting do not provoke rape. Dirty talk does not provoke rape. The moment this young woman said "no" it should have been over. What real man disrespects that?

If you were to be walking alone in a parking lot and got mugged, would you be blamed for "putting yourself in the situation?" Could you have been more careful? Of course, but you didn't "provoke" the mugger into attacking you. You were just there.

She didn't deserve what happened to her, drunk or not. Nobody ever deserves this to happen to her.

And you know what's sick? Those boys are up at school, playing basketball and living the dream. She was all but run out of school by her peers for (gasp) trying to stand up for herself against these heroworshipped athletes. Don't get me wrong, I love sports, but athletic talent should not excuse you of the blame for raping someone.

And I'm very curious....if these young men aren't guilty, then why is the one being suspended?

Obviously you have lacked to see how a fraternity party is handled, or how many students attend these functions.. It would be impossible to keep an eye on everyone that attends, there are just too many people.. My questions are why did she put herself in the situation to be taken advantage of by multiple guys? Did she provoke it at all and does she have a history of carrying herself in a inappropriate manner? There are too many people at fraternity houses for a young lady to be raped and no one notice or do something.. Seems a little off too me.. Don't judge a school and it's security when you know nothing about it.. I may be completely wrong, and if these guys are guilty they should be dismissed from the University both athletically and academically.. I just don't think this is a matter of campus security at all.. Too many young ladies provoke guys these days and play games that end up misleading..
