All it certainly is interesting but how to live further?

And I thought the job market was bad now for just IT and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) fields! I guess its bad news for everyone except for the Wall Street criminals looting the US treasury via bailouts! Anyways I would do an MBA/JD instead and avoid debt if possible. Pass the JD and CPA exam and work for Goldman Sachs and get that bailout million dollar paycheck!

The economy in the U.S. has been in decline since 1950's. There are many reasons contributing to the decline. Only a small number of the young people taking up productive professions such as engineering or hard sciences is one of the reasons. A shrinking economy just cannot support too many lawyers. In this great recession the number of divorces has gone down and this statistic just illustrates that fact. So lawyer aspirants please lower expectations; better yet spend more time on math and sciences to be an engineer or scientist.

Math and science courses are a lot more challenging and interesting than legal classes.

LOL @ Lordrobot. What a first class a-whole. To everyone out there: I want to study law and am not a douche. I think most of us aren't like that.

I love some of the arrogant posts. The simple fact is that if you are any good, you can go into practice for yourself. But like so many things in life the women and panzy males are always looking for the easy way out for someone else to tell them what to do, how to do it and when to breath. Well tough. In law the strong survive not the weakling associates that just learn to slurp. Life is tough so deal with it instead of crying because nobody is listening.

Also you better start paying on those student loans sweetheart or you could be hit for a breach of the professional rules. The bar doesn't like deadbeats.

I HEARD THAT THE NEW 80 PERCENTILE ON THE LSAT IS 160. SOME SCHOOL WANT A 165 OR BETTER! IT IS IMPORTANT TO OBTAIN THE BEST GRADES POSSIBLE YOUR FIRST SEMESTER,BECAUSE IT CAN SECURE YOU WITH A GREAT INTERNSHIP. EXCELLENT GRADES ALSO EARN YOU A PLACE IN LAW REVIEW AND MOOT COURT.

There are too many law schools. I think they should get rid of all of 4 tier schools and most of the 3rd tier (leaving only those in the 3rd tier that are close to the top 100 or just recently fell out of it).

In addition ALL of those California non-accredited schools need to be gone. We only need 100 law schools in this country not 180 or whatever the number now is.

4 tier schools are a joke. It makes people think less of law school. People think, heck anyone can get into law school. Luckily I don't live near any 4 tiers so the public's view on law school here is what it should be everywhere, and that is that it is hard to get into.

If the avg LSAT is 150 and your school's avg is that or less than you are letting in people who shouldn't be in law school. Exception: I don't mind someone with a 150 getting in who worked their butt off to get a 3.8 undergrad gpa but that rarely is the case.

If the avg LSAT score for all test takers is 150 then you should need at least 155 to get in somewhere and a at least 3.4 or 3.5 that will weed out the average pple.

I also hear people say well that isn't fair. No crap it isn't fair. If you want avg scores then go be a h/s teacher. Law School and Med School should not be for avg anyone.

The talk of recession makes long term decision making really tipsy. No one could have seen it coming, so there is no point playing the blame game. I am planning to enter law school next year. Any suggestions anyone?
