I go to UD and most of the bathrooms are pretty nice, and yes it really does matter! If something so simple as a bathroom can't be kept in good standing...it only makes you imagine all the other essential things that should be organized and rather or not they're taking care of!

marble bathrooms? nice. that really shows where our priorities are. Other countries are producing more college graduates and we produce more...marble bathrooms?!

I love nice amenities as much as the next person, but what is going on in the classroom? That should be our biggest concern. Graduation rates are horrible. Higher Education in America seems to be okay with the status quo.

I am glad all the freshmen get to use nice toilets for the year or two they are in college before many of them drop out.

Let's invest in GOOD TEACHING and ADVISING. Let's not promote bad professors. Let's reward good professors. I am okay with a bland bathroom, but let's make sure and have a great program. Let's strive for excellence in the classroom and be okay with a mediocore toilet. Not the other way around.

I guess it's my monday morning cynical attitude. Sorry.

Rebecca is right. I work in a college admissions office and I've learned it's all about the details, down to and including the bathrooms. If you haven't figured that out, you shouldn't be involved in student recruitment.

You are pretty naive if you don't realize the importance of image in the campus visit and the experience. I hope you're not in charge of an admissions program

This puts higher ed in the US back to the stoneage. How absurd is this?
