Oklahoma State says that its sustainability efforts have saved $5 million for the university since June 2007, about $750,000 more than officials had expected, the Daily O'Collegian reports. More than a year and half ago, Oklahoma State's various campuses began updating their operations and asking students and employees to turn off lights and computers. "I was skeptical about achieving those savings," said a school official. "Now, I'm a believer."
