Rice Gets Rude Welcome Home at Stanford

After her stint as secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice returned to Stanford this year—but wasn't greeted by everyone with open arms, the Stanford Daily reports. Before stepping down to move to D.C. in 2000, Rice had been a professor at Stanford for more than a decade and had served as provost for seven years.

Now, there is an open letter circulating on the campus that asks for her removal. Last week, a number of students, faculty, and community members attended the Condi Un-welcoming Committee Meeting, where they presented the letter, which goes as far as to demand her arrest and prosecution for war crimes. The Daily offers no comment from Rice or the university.

"We don't want to be a part of an institution that legitimates a war criminal," said one student, complaining that, "in the name of academic freedom, people are OK with what is a matter of fundamental values and turning our back to the international community."

She was just Bush's "token black". She definitely set back equality 10 years.
btw, If waterboarding is legal for the USA to do, then it is legal for the rest of the world to do to US soldiers/citizens.

Condoleezza Rice is scheduled to attend a $500 a plate fundraising dinner at the University of Calgary on May 13. When she visited Aukland University in 2008, the student society placed a $10,000 bounty on her head, payable to a successful citizen's arrester. She will not be welcomed in Calgary, no more than her war criminal associate George Bush was when he visited Calgary on March 17. Canada's law directs that a "credibly suspected" war criminal be barred from entering the country or alternatively arrested and prosecuted. If we didn't have the most pro-Bush leader remaining in the western world, the political process might not disable the legal one. In any case, she is not welcome in my country. Her crimes are extensive and the worst a human being can commit. Shame on the U of C for inviting her. Further information is available at www.warcriminalsout.com

She said the "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US" memo did not warn of new attacks. It did warn of new attacks--of preparations for hijackings and of surveillance of federal buildings. As National Security Advisor, it was her job to prevent the 9/11 attacks. Warnings from 13 foreign countries, 3 FBI offices, and the CIA went unheeded. 9/11 was her fault, and not only has she escaped accountability, she was promoted.
Condi needs to be held accountable for her incompetence, her obstruction of justice, and her perjury.
