If one Illinois state senator has his way, 14-year-olds will soon be able to attend the University of Illinois's three campuses, the Daily Illini reports. Currently, there is a state law that says full-time students at UI must be 15. None of the other eight public colleges in the state is subject to the law, and no one really knows why.
State Sen. Michael Frerichs, who proposed the new law, expects the legislation to pass. And the rest of us can once again feel bad about going to college at age 18.
