Ann Coulter Causes Stir at New Jersey

Ann Coulter embodies everything that is preventing America from becoming an effective modern society. All the more frustrating is how effective her pitiful bids for notoriety are...I find her to be a waste of space.

Why do we as Americans and voters listen and adhere to these talking heads, these entertainers, these comedians? Is this where real issues are discussed honestly; honestly? Ann Coulter's rhetoric and writing seem to be bent on perserving the image of Ann Coulter and not really what is going on in American politics. One day if she could at least make a convincing argument or stop looking like a ghoul on television, her "star" won't wane so quickly.

I read two of her books. Slander was dated so I concentrated on "Guilty". It has been one heck of a merry-go-round, where I am trying to understand her points of attack against the liberal left. I wish I could meet her personally, and thereby bond , or not. Somehow it occurs to me that she wouldn't really have time, to bond with anyone. Isn't that something she could work on to be truly effective?

I would like for her to be more human, and less intellectual, arrogant and independent. I believe she could inspire her readers to be bigger than themselves in a way that could prove beneficial to all Americans. She could inspire a National Synergy, that would be much more than a fad, but the basis for a paradigm shift in closet conservatives.

I was asked if I found her book interesting?

My reply was:

Yes, but not compelling. Her rhetoric is given to flights where she leaves you to wonder whether she's just venting or trying too hard to make her points. She doesn't try to be gentle or persausive. Like other right wing media, she uses an axe where an explanation would suffice. It's like she doesn't have time for you. If you don't understand her, that is your problem. So her credibility is suspect by the self imposed smoke screen and rhetorical mirrors. She is original and challenging, and you might want to have her speak on your behalf for the sheer audacity, but maybe not. It gets old in a hurry, waiting for her arguments to gain some plausibility in your mind. She is hard to defend against with my liberal friends.

Ann has got more "gumption" that most men in the Republican party. I don't agree with everything she says, but generally love her!!!

The left is for free speech provided it is what they want to hear. They are against evil provided it is someone else's evil. They are so very afraid of Ann's point of view.

She was there to deliver a speech. The 50 who stood up and left were out of line. Protesting in front of the auditorium is the correct way to voice their opposition to her views.

America, where else until that take all our rights from us and it is coming folks! Better enjoy what you can rebell against now because you won't in the future. Yeah, the old argument I can rebell it is a free country! Boring! Ann can rebel too, yet she is making money, and the more you fight against her the more she gets noticed dummy! Sit down and shut up or don't go to the meeting. You just gave her more coverage! She's the wood and you just gave her fire!

The headline of this article says that Ann Coulter caused the stir during her speech. Weren't the fifty people who staged a planned protest the ones who caused the stir? Why is Ann Coulter blamed for the behavior of fifty intolerant free-speech haters? It reminds me of how only conservatives and conservative ideas are called controversial, never liberals or liberal ideas. Does the liberal media think we don't notice their obvious bias?
