Despite worries stemming from the sour economy, University of Pennsylvania sororities are seeing a pspike in interest, a trend that's been repeated across the country, the Daily Pennsylvanian reports. Penn sororities have offered 19 percent more bids over last year.
The number of bids offered by Penn fraternities also was up slightly, and all the fraternities combined have seen only 12 fewer men (about 400 total) accept bids so far this year compared with last year.
