Rutgers has suspended its study abroad program in Israel, citing safety concerns amid "instability in the Gaza area," the Chronicle of Higher Education reports. Class was set to begin January 20. Nine Rutgers students had been scheduled to study at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and the University of Haifa.
