Howard Nursing Students Picket

I lost my nursing license from the VA State Board of Nursing because I was set up by my husband's family so they could inherit all (all) of his money. The sad thing was, my husband was behind it all (may he rest in peace.

The Government system is in place and those employed stand behind the wall of authority and the everyday citizen is no longer valued.

I am a nursing Student that is in the same situation as of other students that wrote on here. I want to become a nurse but there is really no one there to help me get there to become one. I have no experience in being a nurse, except in clinical settings. Having that said, I look for my teachers to give me knowledge and the foundation that I need to be able to succeed . I have paid thousands of dollars Only to ,in the end, teach myself. It has gotten so bad at times that I start to question whether Nursing is for me or not.I know it is for me because words can't explain how I feel ,at the end of the day, after helping someone who couldn't even help themselves. I love helping others and I wanted to make a career in doing that. If this doesn't work out, I will keep going until I conquer my dreams in becoming a nurse.Times like this will never stop me because if I don't conquer my dreams it will seem like the fight and the money and time spent was all for nothing and I will not let it go like that. I feel Like what you all are doing is very courages and I hope you all succeed amd I pray that I will too !!!

I am also in the nursing program at Lawson State College in Birmingham, Alabama this is is not the education that I am paying for. We are basically teaching ourselves with no good foundation or backbone to work with. If I cannot understand particular situation there is no one to go to for clarification on the subject. This is not what I want, I am very hungry for retaining this information but cannot get what I need. This is a terrible situation to be in. We need help!!!!!!!

We the students at Lawson are going through the same exact thing. We are not being taught and are not progresing. No one are is trying to help. So i'm with what you all are trying to do this is our lively hood.

We the students at Lawson State Community College are going thru the exact same thing. We have complained and complained until we just became fed up with it. The teachers that they throw our way don't know what they are teaching and they just are good for clinicals base. I want to know what I need to know to succeed in nursing. I am just one of those fed up students.

We the students at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, AL are going through the exact same thing for the second time. The information is not being properly taught and given so I think something should be done.

We the students at Lawson State Community college are going the same thing. We are not being taught and are not achieving.

Good. Universities (perhaps especially the private outfits like National American University) are in rip-off mode all over the place. Howard's nursing is as good as anywhere to start.

By the way, are "accrediting" bodies a bit like Standard & Poors, Moody's and Fitch?

Putting A+ on things that ought to be C or D? Why would students in a walkout have to be what threatens accreditation?
