Gordon Gee, president of Ohio State University, could earn around $2 million for the upcoming year, the Lantern reports. The school's Board of Trustees last week approved a 3.5 percent salary boost, to $802,125, and a $310,000 bonus, making Gee the highest-paid school official in the country. (Gee will be eligible for additional bonuses.) Board members praised Gee, who returned as Ohio State's president in 2007, for his ability to reduce spending by $94 million while recruiting and retaining top faculty and staff members. And as, the board chairman said, "He has charm, humor, and charisma on steroids."
