I've read excepts from Professor Ayers book on John Locke, and thought he might appreciate this quote: "...Whosoever in authority exceeds the power given him by the law, and makes use of the force he has under his command to compass that upon the subject which the law allow not, ceases in that to be a magistrate, and acting without authority may be opposed, as any other man who by force invades the right of another." --John Locke

Terrorist one who promotes terror? What do we call a government that performs terrorist acts on it own people. I am sure if we asked Native Americans, Mexican American, Japanese Americans, African Americans and several other subjugated classes of people to identify a terrorist, many historical and current political figures can be implicated. Support terrorism, we have supported domestic terrorism for years.

Here's one educator who is not supporting him.

The petition is a joke. It's loaded with phoney names (Nazis, Stalinists, terrorists, serial killers, etc.--all very appropriate) and duplicate names. Looks like it was put together by ACORN.

Most of those "faculty" signers aren't -- they are fakes. Ayers is a terrorist by his own admissions and subsequent statements. He should be fired, along with any real faculty that stands with him.

Frankly, this character should be in jail. And why isn't he?

Does democracy mean that we have to condone a terrorist who acts unlawfully and furthermore is then forever unrepentant?

And what is the matter with the University of Illinois at Chicago? Keep your children away from that school! And if your children are already there - TAKE THEM OUT!

Time to register dissatisfaction!

Why is Illinois giving state tax money to this school? Everyone in the state needs to react - now!

Sue Demidovich of FL 5:29PM October 23, 2008

First struck by the headline that 3,000 educators had signed supporting Ayers, my reaction was "So what else is new?" Sadly, this IS the state of education today. I am thankful that my own children are grown and do not have to face the current crowd that are so debasing the academy.

But then I clicked the link you provided, scrolled through the "petition" and realized that anybody could sign this thing, educator or not, real person or not. How cheap.

Ms. Go, are you so hard up for a story to support Obama that even this will do?

"I am a professor and I would not of?..." Would not OF????

I'll bet your term papers were real gems!

In addition to bill ayers we have additional 3000

bill ayers in the education field. 0ne day they will do the same as bill ayers did. No respect for innocents lives. It is not a character assasination, he is a assasin even today and there is no escuse for this and he should be punished more. He is like stalin who killed millions and had no remorse even at the end of his life. He is lucky he did not get life of death penalty. That is all i have to say.
