Hi my name is Emma and this is my freshman year at college. I am from Ohio and I am kind of new here and really don't know anybody. So I am looking for anybody that know the town, the bars and the hangouts. I just really want somebody to talk to as the first few weeks has been nothing but school work and I am ready to have some fun. Please get my email from my profile page after you login and drop me a line so we can meet up. Look forward to seeing you soon

...and struggle AS bottom feeders.

...often those who are dropped in their second year OR later.

Sigh... this font is terrible.

I've seen many who come to UC schools unqualified to be here. They get caught up the craze and struggle and bottom feeders. Often, those who are dropped in their second of later will be forced to stay by terms of housing contracts. This is a cruel, cruel way to provide false hope.

I think that having 40-50 percent asians making up the UC population is outrageous. This must change and I am glad something is being done about it. The school system and the State and the Country will benefit. As a UC graduate, I see polarization of whether you are Asian or not Asian. If you are Asian, you are entiled to Asian only study sessions and tests from previous students which have had the same professor. This is the spirit of competition which UC Asian students have added to our school system. Its an all resources approach where there are no bars when it comes to cheating, copying, or plagerism. One half the class will have the tests and old homeworks and the other one half will not. The half without the test are individuals, where the Asian half bring in the do whatever it takes to be successful and cheating is part of the plan.

The regents apparently equate low-income with low-achievement. Why else would the regents try to boost low-income admission by lowering academic standards?

My father, who died almost 60 years ago, was the recipient of an education gained in a one room school house. For years, he made a good living with his own business as a skilled craftsman.

He, when confronted by some with a college degree, but no sense, referred to them as educated idiots. It took me years to fully realizing what he was talking about.

During my working life, I encountered many such educated idiots.

It is too bad that some sort of testing can not be utilized to weed out these people, people who have an ability to absorb information in a classroom, but never, never acquire a lick of common sense.

Common sense is needed very badly today, as always, but it is not valued by those who hide behind their University degrees .
