Moms and Kids Bond Over Tea and/or Beer

Moms Weekend at Ohio University was not all tea and crumpets and watching chorale concerts: Some mothers hit up the bar scene with their kiddies, too, the Post reports. One mother has an explanation for the "crazy mom" debauchery and inappropriate dance moves: "It's like they sit in their house all year except for this one night."

Ohio University offers so many activities for moms and their children. The tea/breaksfast at the president's home, fashion shows, Walk for a Cure, Hocking Hills guided trail walk, arts and crafts shows, fund raisers sponsored by various clubs/groups, comedians at the Front Room, movies at Baker

Center, pottery and ceramic sale on campus, and yes, chorale concerts to name a FEW activities, have always been a part of my visit. Of course, the nightlife downtown is a draw. It's fun and exciting to start an evening at 10 P.M. with our college kids...and end at the Burrito Buggy or Donkey Coffee... one downside..Perks has changed too much to enjoy it as a coffee bar....OU visits keep us young! Thanks, OU, for the memorable times I spent with my daughter on Mom's Weekend!
