Wisconsin Students Get Rare Snow Day

More than a foot of snow forced University of Wisconsin-Madison officials to cancel afternoon and evening classes yesterday, but that was "too little, too late" for students who slipped, slid, and grumbled to class all morning, the Badger Herald reports. "I saw a plow getting stuck in the road," said one student, "and then I knew it's probably not a good idea to make people walk and drive in this weather." The cancellation is Wisconsin's third in almost 20 years.
