Why Students Don't Vote: Silly Governmental Outreach Events

The University of Kentucky student government and the Kentucky secretary of state held a mock gubernatorial election to make "students more comfortable with the idea of voting," the Kentucky Kernel reports. Of 17,000 students, 179 participated in the event, suggesting that voting officials have more problems to overcome than discomfort.
