Magazine scammers have become a plague on colleges recently, duping students at the University of Kansas and now spreading to the outskirts of North Carolina State. Raleigh police arrested seven people for allegedly posing as members of the N. C. State baseball team selling magazine subscriptions as a fundraiser, the Technician reports.

The real victims here, though, are the 14-year-olds of America who are legitimately trying to sell magazines for their eighth-grade trip. Can't trust anyone nowadays. —Alison Go
