Raucous Students: Not in My Backyard

The San Diego City Council has moved to restrict the development of "minidorms"—off-campus houses filled with gaggles of noisy, often-drunk San Diego State University students, the Daily Aztec reports. The new law restricts the number of bedrooms and legislates new street parking rules, in addition to a $1,000 administrative fine the city started doling out to rowdy tenants in April.—Alison Go
