LSU's Roller-Skating Revival

May 2, 2007 RSS Feed Print

Trade "The Sign" from Ace of Base with "This is Why I'm Hot" by Mims, and you've got yourself a bona-fide roller-skating renaissance. Perhaps taking a cue from Bow Wow's skating-fueled coming of age film, Roll Bounce, an increasing number of skaters have taken an interest in rinkside high jinks at local skating venues near Louisiana State University, reports the Daily Reveille.

The trend seems to be driven by both fitness concerns and the opportunity for skaters to show off their tricked-out wheels. Some skaters have a penchant for wheels with flashing lights, while others prefer spinning rims. --A.G.

By trend, do you mean about 4 students . . . give or take four students?? Just wondering.
