Caught by the RIAA? Don't Settle So Fast, Paper Says

Students who've been hit with settlement requests from the Recording Industry Association of America should seek legal advice before settling, an editorial in North Carolina State's Technician urges today. "It is imperative that the university community makes it clear that the RIAA can't shove us around with its deep pockets, and the opposition starts with the accused--students," the paper writes. The editorial follows the advice of N.C. State's student legal services division.
