New Tactic in Berkeley's Tree Wars

Activists trying to protect an oak grove from becoming the site of a new University of California-Berkeley athletic training facility have unleashed a new weapon in their fight: documents that suggest the grove was once an American Indian burial ground. Observers who know about these kinds of things are very skeptical the documents would actually prevent the university from pushing its plans forward, the Daily Californian reports. But maybe the most interesting development is that this controversy just keeps going! It's such a full-blown P.R. war that the Daily Californian's blog has anointed it with an official scandal title: Oakgate.
