Drew Gilpin Faust, a woman, will be named president of Harvard University this weekend. Or at least that's what sources talking to the Crimson and the Boston Globe say. Faust's gender is significant since the last Harvard president, Lawrence Summers, was criticized for making comments many considered sexist. It's also significant because it would give four out of eight Ivy League universities female heads, as the Philadelphia Inquirer points out . (Brown, Penn, and Princeton are currently led by women.) But there must be other interesting things about Drew Gilpin Faust besides her gender... . We will investigate and report back. Meanwhile, if you find anything out, E-mail papertrail~at~usnews.com.
