A 2005 UCLA graduate who participated in the ROTC program died last week after serving three months in Iraq, the Daily Bruin reports. Meanwhile, two papers have stories on the families of those still serving: In the Daily Evergreen, a story about the family of a Washington State University 2004 graduate, who also participated in ROTC and whose brother is a senior at WSU, and in the Michigan Daily, a story about the fiancé of a University of Michigan-Dearborn senior. She says her fiancé joined the National Guard "to earn money for college, never expecting to be sent overseas," the Michigan Daily reports.
