Emory University's new dean of students cemented her commitment to understanding student life last weekend. She, her husband, their daughter, and the family dachshund, Jelly Bean, stayed in a dorm for the weekend. "We always have programming and expect students to come to us," she says. "I was coming to the students." The dean declined, however, to go out at night with them, too. She went to sleep at 11 p.m., the Wheel reports.
