- The $100 laptop, an initiative championed by MIT professors that hopes to produce a low-cost computer for mass sale in developing countries, will actually cost $138--at least until the end of 2008, the Tech reports. By 2010, the $100 laptop will actually cost $50. In between, it will cost $100.
- Colgate University's homecoming party turned into a girl-on-girl fight last weekend, the Maroon-News reports. This "ruined" one freshman girl's first homecoming but most likely made many freshman boys' night.
The Paper Trail
Nobody knows a college better than its student newspaper. And nobody knows campus newspapers better than this blog. We sift through thousands of student newspaper headlines every day to bring you the latest, most important, or just plain weirdest news from campuses across the country. Heard bigger news or a crazier story? Send tips to papertrail@usnews.com.
