Duquesne Tries to Make Sense of Tragedy

After five Duquesne basketball players were shot early Sunday morning, the school went into mourning, and the Duquesne Duke went to work. Some exclusives: The Black Students Union had promoted the dance heavily because it wanted to build community with students from other nearby colleges and raise money for its own volunteer work--not because it wanted to create disorder, says the Duke. The paper also reports that the Duquesne basketball players' brush with tragedy is only the latest in a long series of troubles for the team.
