I think we should be allowed to text in school because this world is circled around technology, for instance in my school every single student has an iPad. It's the way the world is going and we can all do work and text at the same time. I do this constantly. Texting in. My PERSONAL opinion is a good thing. Now. I don't believe in texting while driving. I just think that's stupid some of my friends have gotten in wrecks because they were texting. So texting while driving should stay a big NONO.

There really isnt a great time to text. I am in high school and they let us text between classes, but when it comes to the classrooms its up to the teachers if they let us. Students still do it and they dont care weather they get caught for texting or not. Texting has became an addiction to out genarations. There shouldnt be texting words in assinments at all. Students are there to learn not to learn how to text, or to text at all. I only know of a few schools who block out cell phone signals so students do not text during school, weather if its to they're parnets or a friend. If its to their parents then the parent does not really care that they should be learning not texting people or them.

if you can multi-task then it shouldnt be a problem. i text during school but yet i dont fail. its just the people who dont care about school who use their phone as a distraction.

I am a 6th grade student and honestly, I love texting. But I don't think us students should be texting in school. It's just not the right time to be texting, when there's work to do. Even if you're texting in between classes, if the school does not allow it, you shouldn't be doing it. At least that's what I think.

I don't think its good or bad, and i agree that texting will stay and it will get students more exited about learning.

Texting is important to us kids because It keeps our minds active and can keep us up on assignments by calling friends if we forget something. Texting is a normal part of tween and teen day. Asking us to stop is like asking a bird not to fly. It is here to stay, and although it can be distracting at times, it keeps our brain running. I think if teachers used it right, they could get us excited about anything, from spit molecules to what kind of bullets the confederacy used in the civil war.
