Whew! The parents making the right choices are those adults with the most up to date information about financing their superior child's education. But there is still the need for undestanding how and why independent students may get more bang for their(your) buck than dependent students. It's all the matter of investigation by a trained Private College Counselor, who can research the best advantages in financing your children's education.

Notice i said Private College Counselor , the name implies much: the job requires respect and the privacy means personal.

The best education from the beginning is the most original and before teachers, there had to be counselors, because counselor created the curriculum, teachers learned to teach. Teachers teach a discipline that counselors had to formulate. Why would a parent not get almost free advice to save money is beyond the critique of shopping. The information closes to the area of concern, should hold your focus, as a parent, trying to save capital. There are Private College Counselors near every college and every high school, letting them into your equation for almost free is a very good idea, might save the frustration of an inferior college experience.

Many times a private college is less than a state college. Especially when you consider the 4 yr graduation rate at each college. We model how each college individually awards financial aid for a student so parents are not surprised by the cost. Families must consider need based aid and merit $$.

I am in total agreement. I have 2 in college and it was not possible to pay for two tuitions at private institutions, so the second child is attending community college and will transfer just in time when the first graduates. Then after she is done, the 3rd will begin... Luckily - my entire salary is paying for tuition and we live on my husband's which will help keep college loans low, but it is still difficult. It was a bit dissapointing to the 2nd child to stay home for 2 years, but we gave her the choice to attend her private college with loans or go local without loans.... she picked the smarter choice.
