my girlfriend came to US,New York city three months ago ,she will completed her college applyment ,beacase the sucks economy ,i worred about the circumstance of her family and hopeful there will get better of US .

Not only are students shopping around, but so are parents. The fact is that people have always had to shop around, but it's usually been mid to lower class working families. Now that we're in a recession we see these types of decisions trickling up to families who wouldn't have blinked at the price of tuition a couple of years ago.

I think it's very important for everyone who's going through the college admission process to take a good look into the financial state of their college choices. Already we've seen instances of aid being cut, colleges merging and in some cases, closing. I would do this whether in a recession or not.
