I think thats a very fair rule to add. That kids could use their cell phones in class.

I think that students should only be aloud to use their cell phones if it is school related. Not to text your friend while taking a test.

Ya i also do agree with many of you it is not fair if teachers are allowed to use their cell phones during school hours if students arnt aloud, there are alot of bad dissisions going on right now that need to be faught for to fix..

well i dont think it is fair if the teachers can go on their cell phones and the students cant. If the students arnt allowed then the teachers shouldnt be allowed nobody is better than anybody else.

Hello, my name is Eric. I teach in a small school in Central Minnesota. We do not have a huge budget for new technology. That is one of the main reasons that I am looking for ways to integrate cell phones into my classroom. When you started using phones more often in your classroom what was the reaction from parents? How did you handle those who said they didn't want to, or wouldn't do it?

i think Lianne is right on how cellphones can be used for educational purposes. I allso think no matter what people say, if we are aloud are cellphones in school or in the classroom we all know we are going to use them anyways.How ever teachers have a hard time trusting and believing students this days so if they see you using ur phone there going to automatically thing your using it for a different purpose. Personally I dont get why we are aloud to use are ipods and blackberry playbooks and a lap yop in class but we can use are cellphones. Whats the difference?

I think that cell phones should be used during school hours because they can be used for educational perposes. Instead of having to waste paper you can just type it up on your phone. Also it can also be used for a calculater and in case of an emergancy. Also at teens years there is allot to take in about that the world isint one of teh safest places to be. Cell phones can be used for keeping in touch with parents to cheque up on each other. There are ways that cell phones can be used for good purposes. Instead of using cell phones for a bad purpose lets use them for a good reason and take into consideration that cell phones are a good gadget that can help students. they can also remind people and set timers to keep them on track. Thats why i think that cell phones should be allowed in class and school hours.
