Bye bye teacher's unions, bye bye corrupted politicians elected by teacher's unions, bye bye indoctrination and bye bye public schools. Hello school choice.

I wish I had the discipline to take HS online. I barely made it through HS in fact my mom had to convince the school board to pass me. After a couple of years downtime, I was able to get a 4.0 for 2 semesters at a community college then got accepted into a 4 yr program. Since finishing that I recently graduated from medical school in Chicago. My hats off to these young boys and girls who have the gumption to complete a degree without a teacher lurching over their shoulders.

Hence the term "virtual". They did not have virtual high schools in the 70's. If you are going to try to make a point, at least try to read and understand the article before bashing people about fact checking.

University of Nebraska offered high school diplomas via distance for over 50 years.

Online schools = Rampant Academic Dishonesty. Online classes are a joke, and can and should be used only as a last resort.

The article mistakenly says that these universities have just begun offering virtual high schools in the last few years.

Actually, factually, these universities have been offering distance learning high school degrees for the last few DECADES.

IU and Missouri began in the 1970s to offer distance high school degrees, guys!

Fact check.

Fact check.

Fact check.

I wish I knew about this when I was in high school! I would have applied in my freshmen and sophomore years because my high school did not offer challenging courses for students at that level. This is a innovative idea that could possibly be revamped to work as an addition to brick and mortar schools.
