Will statistics and biostatistics programs in the stat list be ranked separately? For example, some schools have both a stat and a biostat program and they may be of differing quality, earning different ranks.

I, for one, feel the health field rankings should be updated. Public Health grad programs have been unchanged for 3 years. 3 years is a long time. While we're on the topic, why not include research funding (per capita perhaps) as a criterium.

I say this as someone who believe the rankings have SOME value. Its a consolidated source of information that allows people to compare law schools across America.

However, USNWR ignores the SINGLE BIGGEST DRIVER of interest in law school and SINGLE BIGGEST DRIVER of law school tuition - the starting salaries paid to law graduates who enter private practice. Not including salary information in the rankings renders this exercise useless, at least for schools outside the top 20-30 schools.

Should a school be penalized for sending students to the public sector or non-profits? Of course not. And USNWR doesn't have to. Report the median starting salary for law school graduates entering the private sector.

If this is too much work for USNWR, at least factor in a school's (NLJ_250 employment rate + federal clerkship rate (since a majority of these people will enter Big Law) into the equation.

Or is the issue that USNWR becomes useless if student have access to accurate salary date?

Do SOMETHING! Being employed as a Starbucks barista is NOT the same as being employed as a law firm associate. Your metrics do not make this distinction.

The law school 100 is wrong. Yale is first, Stanford is second, and Harvard Law School is only third. Cornell is fourth.

Are these rankings similar to the "Law School 100" rankings? Shouldn't Harvard be the Number One law school?

Bart Carter of FL 3:04AM March 26, 2010

Will the overall law school rankings use the combined part-time and full-time LSAT and Undergrad scores for the 2011 rankings?

I noticed it said they are using a separate part-time ranking so I was curious.
