Has anyone here used a college admissions consulting company? Someone recommended www.TheAdmissionsExperts.com to me. Has anyone else used their services? Thanks

Demoralizing students and their parents? Really? I seriously doubt that bright college bound students are letting one magazine dictate where they attend college. Come on now. Is the U.S. News system flawed? Absolutely. Is it ruining lives? Certainly not. So "anonymous in CA", take a step back from the computer, go for a walk, take a few deep breaths, and think about what you are saying. Also, I seriously doubt anyone at U.S. News is a "crackpot fool."

Robert Morse, I hope the colleges finally boycott your biased and hugely flawed rankings system, which has demoralized students and parents alike for more than 25 years. You still think 25% toward peer group surveys is ideal? Laughable! According to the president of Lehigh University, he admitted that your skewed system easily leads competing schools to lower their peers’ grades, which is called gaming the system. Something you should know all too well. I love how the president of Clemson admitted this and yet you still have them ranked so high. That just proves to me what a joke your ranking system is, where only 48% actually fill out the surveys. And who really fills them out? Secretaries? Assistants? And it’s quite interesting how private universities are always ranked higher than public universities. Sorry Bobby boy, I’ll take Fiske any day of the week. He’s been doing it longer and his team knows a hell of a lot more than your crackpot fools.

"Major" errors that "screw up" the rankings? Like what? Schools misreporting data? Brooklyn Law and Clemson have nothing to do with the methodology used by U.S. News. What, did your school slip this year? Hmm.

...every year there are major errors in the data that screw up your rankings. Hmm.
