Why is U.S. News collecting NSSE data? The goal of NSSE is to help schools see how engaged their students are in activities that lead to learning. U.S. News is committed to seeking and making this kind of important college accountability information available to the greatest extent possible.

Using the Common Data Set
Tweet Share on Facebook May 15, 2007 CommentThe massive effort to produce the upcoming America’s Best Colleges rankings for the 2008 Edition of America's Best Colleges is well underway. For the rankings, we collect data from more than 1,450 four-year colleges. We began updating the statistical surveys used to gather the data for the new rankings in December 2006.
