High school students in Utah must earn a minimum of 24 credits, including at least a few advanced classes, such as zoology or journalism, according to the Utah State Office of Education. Through the New Century Scholarship, students who successfully complete an associate degree while in high school may receive financial support to earn a bachelor's degree at a Utah college.
