Georgia high school students must earn at least 23 credits in various subjects and pass the Georgia High School Writing Test to graduate. If students plan to attend a University System of Georgia institution, such as University of Georgia, or any other postsecondary school, two credits must be in a modern language or Latin, according to the Georgia Department of Education.
