To put you on that path, each year, U.S.News & World Report surveys more than 1,200 graduate schools and programs and ranks them according to our methodology.

Here, we offer a sneak peek of the 2012 Best Graduate Schools rankings.

For the first time, U.S. News asked recruiters at the country's top law firms to rank the best law schools—and, as unveiled last week, Harvard Law School beat Yale Law School for the top spot.

In addition, we conducted our traditional U.S. News rankings, surveying 190 fully accredited law schools. In alphabetical order, here are the top 10 highest-ranked law schools.
